The New Computerisation

VOSA completed the ‘roll-out’ of their new national MOT database in March 2006 and we have been testing on-line since January. There have, of course, been some teething problems with a system of this scale and it is now imperative that clients stick rigidly to their appointment times.

The principal benefit of the new system for drivers is that car tax can now be bought on-line saving the annual pilgrimage to the post office. In addition duplicate MOTs can be provided much more easily although there is still a fee payable.
